Isn't it amazing how much life can change in one year.....

A year ago this month (on May 16th to be exact) we discovered our lives would be changed forever.  I remember that Sunday afternoon like it was yesterday.  I just had this "feeling" and since he was tired of me talking and obsessing about this "feeling", Scott suggested we just give a pregnancy test a whirl.  Low and behold, here is what we see!

Yep, I'm that girl that took a picture of my pregnancy test :)
Just one test was all it took.  I believe my exact words to Scott were "Holy *#@& Scott, we're pregnant!"  Lovely, right?  I know mom, you must be proud of your classy little girl ;)

Scott and I took Koda for a walk that afternoon and just giggled with excitement over our news.  As our parents know, we just couldn't keep the secret contained and called them that night to share.

It's crazy, in a way it seems like Parker has been with us forever, yet it's only been (almost) four months.  I just know that I love our little family more than I ever knew possible!

Holy Heat Batman!

Typical Iowa, no smooth transition into a season.  Just bam!  Hello summer.  Turns out we had record breaking weather the week before last, hitting a high of over 95 degrees.  A few towns in Iowa even broke 100!

Since it was rather stuffy in the house, we decided to turn the air on.  I know, embarrassing that we couldn't even make it to June, but with a baby in the house now, we didn't want to chance any ensuing crabbiness (nevermind that Scott get's a little crabby from the heat too.....love you hun!).  Of course, this only naturally means that the air conditioner doesn't work.  Why would it, right??  So two Monday nights ago we suffered through the heat, opened windows and had every fan in the house going.  Scott and I were rather fearful how this would affect Parker's wonderful sleeping habit.  The poor guy was so hot and sweaty, we surely thought he would fuss through the night.  He sure proved us wrong and showed us what a champ sleeper he is, even in the most uncomfortable conditions.  I wish I would have taken a picture of him when we woke Tuesday morning.  Hands up in the air and out like a light, it was so cute!

Anyhoo, the whole point of this post (other than to complain about the heat and a failing air conditioner) is to show off Parker rockin' the diaper only outfit.  I have a feeling this will be showcased much more as we move into the summer months.

I love that his little belly hangs over his diaper now!

The BEST first Mother's Day!

Granted, it was my first, but it truly was the best Mother's Day!  I was fortunate enough to start celebrating early.  Scott, Parker and Koda were so thoughtful and had a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a box of very yummy chocolates delivered to my work mid-week.

Saturday before Mother's Day continued in the celebration.  Running our typical weekend errands, Scott let me stop off at a cute boutique in West Glen to browse around and I ended up with a new purse!  Of course, Scott definitely enjoyed the shop considering they served him a beer while I shopped.  I have to say, I highly recommend this.  My browsing time is normally quite limited in a "chic" shop whenever Scott and I are together, however I did not hear one peep out of him!

Sunday, the official celebration day, was quite possibly the best gift of all.  Our sweet little boy was baptized at church.  We sincerely love our church and the supportive community it offers, so we were very excited to officially introduce Parker to the congregation.  Parker was such a trooper, he was bright eyed throughout the baptism and never flinched once as the water touched his head.

After service, our families headed back to our house for a small celebration.  We munched on fruit, coffee cake and other yummy treats while everyone relaxed.  Parker was the center of attention and ate up every bit of it.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing with my guys and enjoying every minute of it.  Scott was generous enough to fix dinner for us that night and even cleaned up afterwards, so I was able to enjoy extra cuddle time with my little guy.  He spoiled me, that is for sure!  Looks like he set the bar high for me to meet on Father's Day and I'm looking forward to spoiling him :)

Three Months

Yep, late again.  Hey, at least it's only two weeks this time, so I'm getting a little bit better about posting these on time......what, you don't agree?!  Well, at least humor me and agree, ok?  ;)

Parker, it has been such a joy to watch you change these last three months.  Your little personality is starting to peek out and I absolutely love it.  You greet us with smiles in the crib as soon as you wake from your deep sleep and recognize our faces smiling down on you.  Those same smiles greet us after a long day at work.  Makes it all worth it!

Here's a quick run down of your stats at three months:

-Sleeping through the night....I'm almost afraid to post this and jinx it, but it's true.  You've actually been sleeping through the night for a long time and let me tell you, mommy and daddy abso-freaking-lutely love this.  You also transitioned to the crib fabulously.  You are a rockstar! :)

-Eating 5.5 - 6 oz now.

-Holding your head up almost always on your own.

-Wearing your 3 month clothes well, some are even a little snug on you!

-Lots of smiles and giggles, so glad we finally caught some on camera.

-Discovering your hands, we often find them stuffed in your mouth.

Without further ado, here are your 3 month photos and a few from the past month
